Some great news out of the gates for B Corps in 2011:

Late last month, New Jersey became the latest state to pass B Corp Legislation, and now counts itself alongside Maryland and Vermont as B Corp states, as well as the City of Philadelphia which has passed B Corp tax legislation which will begin in 2012. In April of 2010, Maryland became the first state to pass legislation officially recognizing benefit corporations – – a number of other state and local governments are considering similar benefit corporation legislation.
