The summer season is almost upon us, and for one family in Manning, SC, the new season will be like Christmas in June.
Lavader Blackwell and her 11 year old son, CJ, are anxiously awaiting moving day when they finally get to move into their brand new home. For months, Lavader has been working right along side area volunteers, friends and family to achieve her dream. She currently works for the Clarendon County Disabilities Board.
BetterWorld Telecom employees Gloria Costa and Joe Londeree were able to lend a helping hand last week. Most of the work was priming and painting walls. This home is one of many Habitat for Humanity homes planned in the area over the next year. It takes approximately three months to complete each home and BetterWorld Telecom employees will be on each job site to help the community.
