Late last week BetterWorld and the Tides Foundation sponsored the west coast launch of the Nonprofit Guide to Going Green – a two year project with over 20 authors, and edited/co-authored by yours truly alongside Ted Hart and Adrienne Capps. With more launch events on the way, including April in Berkeley and Toronto. The Nonprofit Guide to Going Green was a two-year long effort sponsored by Greennonprofits.org and published by Wiley & Sons in December 2009.
The Nonprofit Guide to Going Green is a comprehensive learning tool to guide nonprofits and NGOs towards becoming greener. A desktop reference for any charitable organization to become greener, the Guide provides organizations the support they need to take proactive steps to protect the environment while fulfilling their missions.
Timely and clearly written, with contributions from experts from around the globe, the Nonprofit Guide to Going Green leads the way in helping charities in all countries meet this challenge.
• Helps nonprofits green their efforts and carbon footprint
• Shows CEOs, presidents, deans, marketing officers, board members proactive steps they can take to protect the environment
• Teaches how to do a self-audit and plan for a more environmentally sensitive future Nonprofit Guide to Going Green delivers a timely and essential call to action for this new century.
Another example of where BetterWorld is putting its donation dollars and volunteering time, the Guide should stand the test of time and be a helpful reference for nonprofits around the world for years to come.
A special shout out to Bruce Demartini and the team at Tides for all their help with the event. For more information on Amazon, click here or on the Wiley site, here.
