This was my second year attending the Green Festival in San Francisco. As a fledgling in 2002, San Francisco started with only 50 speakers and a handful of special events. Last year, the San Francisco Green Festival boasted 3 days filled with the best in green, and continues to expand in size and scope. With more than 150 renowned speakers and 400 green businesses, this is a premier event for connecting with businesses and organizations committed to sustainable efforts. I spoke with Kevin Danaher, Executive Director of Global Exchange, and learned about his desire to make the Green Festival a permanent establishment in San Francisco. Imagine an upper level of offices for green businesses and a lower level marketplace permanently open to the public as a sustainable learning, dining, and shopping Mecca. I’m there!
