Late last week, Matt and I had a couple great meetings of note in the Bay Area, with a couple organizations doing amazing work in their own right to advance sustainability.
Sun Light & Power
First off we met with Sun Light & Power, headquartered in Berkeley, thanks to Mark Mumm for the tour and great discussion around how our BetterWork framework could advance Sun Light & Power’s mission. Sun Light & Power is a design/build firm and certified green company, with over 30 years of leadership in alternative energy systems and innovative designs for homes and businesses. Their commitment is to create a living environment that serves people’s intrinsic needs, supports the human spirit and preserves the planet’s resources for future generations. NatureBridge
School budgets are dwindling. Children are growing up with little or no exposure to nature. NatureBridge exists to help shore up this growing gap in the education and foundation of our Children. We met with Corey Sadd of NatureBridge late last week and received an amazing introduction into the amazing work that they are accomplishing, helping to provide our youth with a hands-on education in the natural world.
Serving over 40,000 participants annually, NatureBridge is the largest nonprofit residential environmental education partner of the National Park Service. Since 1971 they have introduced almost one million students to national parks through field science education programs for schools and youth leadership programs. We look forward to more discussions as to how we can work together with NatureBridge, helping them to advance their mission, for more information: www.naturebridge.org
In service,
Jacob
