California has been feeling the BetterWorld wave in a big way as we launched two new monthly community forums back-to-back in August.
The Sacramento Sustainability Forum is a monthly venue for connecting businesses, non-profits, government and interested citizens in the Sacramento region in order to promote sustainability, share insights and resources, and support movement towards a more sustainable future. The forum features a monthly speaker leading sustainable thought and change in the region and then involves the participants in sustainability topic breakout sessions. The effect is to create a strong sustainability community in Sacramento and help to map efforts and common goals so that organizations, businesses, government, and interested students and citizens can work together and strengthen each other’s efforts. The first event packed the venue with 80 enthusiastic and inspired attendees. Learn more at www.ssf0909.eventbrite.com.
The BetterWork Lunch Forum is held at the BetterWorld Telecom western regional office in the David Brower Center in Berkeley, California. The forum is a casual and interactive environment discussing how the adoption of innovative and flexible telecommunications and application technologies can significantly reduce an organization’s carbon footprint and overhead costs associated with building space, energy, and commuting, all while increasing the productivity and democracy of the workplace. No other strategy today holds this powerful combination of benefits for your organization and the environment. Learn more at www.betterworktoday.com.
We look forward to building on the success and energy of these community connecting projects.
Hope to see you at an event soon!
