We were fortunate this week to visit the amazing HQ/Brewery/Restaurant in Escondido, CA of the Stone Brewing Company. Stone brews arguably some of the best beers in the U.S. (favorite of many on the BetterWorld team, alongside some New Belgium brews), but the story just starts there.
Stone maintains a huge commitment to local agriculture as the largest purchaser of local ag in San Diego county, something near and dear to the BetterWorld team through our local and national support of BALLE. In addition, they have incorporated green and sustainable practices into most everything they’ve done and they regularly hold fundraisers for local non profits, such as their upcoming events later this month for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and local San Diego La Milpa Farm.
Their restaurant is one of the best we’ve eaten at, fueled primarily by local farms in the San Diego area. If you find yourselves in San Diego, make a point to hit the Stone bistro and restaurant for some great local food and a few pints of fresh beer that has few peers. Stone is widely distributed as well so keep an eye out for their products in your neighborhood, its not just a great beer but a great, committed company standing behind it that cares about people and the planet as well.
