Back into the Woods With The Nature Conservancy

June 16, 2009

Late last week, many of us from the Washington, D.C. area BetterWorld team gathered in Scott’s Run Nature Preserve just outside of D.C. to continue our work ridding the area of non native species in the general George Washington Parkway National Park area.  We have been working in this area with TNC for almost four years and, over the period have cleared considerable acreage.   Thinking that what we are doing is being replicated over many communities not only in North America but in the world by TNC, makes us proud to be part of a huge network of volunteers and staff all making our forests and habitats healthier.

We are excited to count TNC as a partner, customer and soon-to-be donation recipient – we can’t wait for our next adventure into the woods.

Nursing the blisters,

Glenn
