Oh Canada! and Getting Green with DPR Construction

June 11, 2009

JP and I had the pleasure of meeting Benjamin Eliasoph, Technology Partnering Officer, at the beautiful Embassy of Canada in D.C. & we arrived to a full presentation by the Canadian Color Guard (pictured), who happened to be in town for some events. The Canadian Embassy is embarking on a months-long effort to explore how they can make the lead embassy and U.S. missions more sustainable & we were discussing how BetterWorld can integrate our BetterWork philosophies into their process.  BetterWorld and the Embassy are both involved in the Sustainable Business Network of Washington (www.sbnow.org) and creating a more sustainable Capital Area.

We also met today with Fred Lenetsky and Bill McCracken at DPR Construction (www.dprinc.com), one of the nation’s leading construction firms focused on LEED and green construction. DPR Construction, Inc. is a unique technical builder with a passion for results & is ranked in the top 50 general contractors in the country over the last 10 years. We look forward to exploring a relationship with DPR and looking at how we can help both their internal operations and their customers with BetterWork concepts.

– Feelin' green in D.C., Matt
