NetImpact Goes Country

November 2, 2007

Greetings from Nashville – my first NetImpact Conference, in a word, wow! The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbuilt is hosting the conference, what a beautiful campus. Yvonne Choinard (pictured above) led things off this AM to a packed house at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, it seemed as though all 1,800 attendees at the conference were there hanging on his every word. I was fortunate today to participate in a panel on volunteerism in the workplace, which is near and dear to all of us at BetterWorld, and was joined by Susan Strayer from Ritz Hotels, Dot Neale from IBM, and Paulina Migalska from the Points of Light -Hands on Network.

The thing that has really struck me is the level of questions from the crowd at each session I’ve attended, the attendees have an amazing level of understanding of the issues and their participation really makes this conference top notch. All the sessions have been great, what a great mix of professionals and students, we’ll definitely make this an annual stop on the BetterWorld train & further develop our relationship with NetImpact. Chad Holliday, CEO of DuPont will lead things off tomorrow AM (Sat.).

…now off to some good food and bluegrass downtown!

Sustainably,

Matt
