Building a Better World with Habitat

Yesterday, many of the BetterWorld team spent the day helping build a new townhouse in Fairfax, VA, outside of Washington, DC. We all now have a much greater appreciation for the difficulties of hanging drywall on ceilings, as that is how we spent much of the day – this wasn’t our first Habitat volunteer day, but most definitely the one most fraught with trial and error!

We will be helping the Fairfax Habitat complex on a regular basis going forward, something we enjoy as a team very much and the benefits are almost immediate and tangible – we recommend it highly as a corporate/group volunteering project as Habitat is in most areas & in addition you learn, bond and help families in need achieve positive home ownership.
