BetterWorld Team attended and exhibited at the Fair Trade Conference from June 1-3, 2007 in Washington, DC. this year’s conference, Changing Hands: The Work of Fair Trade, was held at American University and brought together more than 200 FTF members, partners, and friends with a hand in positively changing the lives of those living in poverty. The event is hosted by the Fair Trade Federation, a long time BetterWorld Affiliate Partner and donation recipient.
This year’s conference’s premier Sponsors were Bright Hope International, Catholic Relief Services, the Fair Trade Resource Network, ifPeople.net, Oxfam America, and World of Good. One of the new vendors that really got our attention, mostly because when we say Fair Trade we usually think coffee, clothing, crafts, etc., was Fair Trade Sports.
